SUMMARY
The Manager, Technology Marketing & Workforce Productivity is a full-time role within the Information Technology (IT) organization. Reporting to the Head of R&D and Technical Operations IT, with additional accountability to the Head of Commercial and Corporate IT, the Manager shapes and executes the strategy that inspires all BioMarin employees to adopt digital tools—particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and collaboration platforms—that raise individual and enterprise productivity. The person in this role will:
- Own the enterprise “technology go-to-market” plan: segment audiences, craft value propositions, and run multi-channel campaigns that translate complex technology into compelling, user-centric stories.
- Drive a portfolio of productivity initiatives from idea through value realization, using disciplined project- and change-management practices.
- Partner closely with the People Team on enablement programs, with Corporate Affairs on enterprise communications, with IT product owners to shape roadmaps that meet business needs, and with the Microsoft Platforms team to drive enterprise-wide workforce productivity initiatives
- Interact with targeted audiences at business workshops and department meetings to deliver relevant productivity tips.
- Define, track, and socialize metrics that prove adoption, engagement, and ROI.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Technology Marketing expertise—5+ years crafting campaigns that increase adoption of SaaS, collaboration, or AI tools in an enterprise.
- Project & Program Management—Experience (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) with demonstrable success managing budgets.
- Change Management—Prosci/ADKAR or similar experience; ability to translate technical change into behavior change.
- Cross-functional leadership—experienced at influencing without authority across IT, People Team, Corporate Affairs, and IT.
- Data-driven storytelling—skilled at building KPI frameworks, dashboards, and executive narratives that link adoption to business value.
- Communication & Enablement— Make new technology fun and unintimidating. Expert at simplifying complex tech for non-technical audiences through live demos, train-the-trainer sessions, and bite-sized learning assets.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure Open AI, Power Platform, and low-code/no-code automation.
- Experience designing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) chat solutions and conversational interfaces.
- Working knowledge of ITIL service-management processes.
- Background in data engineering or analytics to evaluate AI feasibility and data sufficiency.
- Experience designing websites (sharepoint sites) and communication channels.
QUALIFICATIONS / ELIGIBILITY
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 + years of progressive experience in technology marketing, product management, or digital workplace enablement, including 2 + years in a people-management capacity.
- Demonstrated success deploying enterprise-scale productivity or AI solutions in a highly regulated environment (biotech, pharma, or healthcare a plus).

The salary range for this position is: $113,600 to $156,200. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
