About Commercial
Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin’s commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
- Support BU LT with development, tracking and reporting of KPIs, metrics, dashboards as well as catalyzing action on insights to drive performance
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop data-driven strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize and manage BU resource prioritization and optimization across channels (e.g. sales, marketing, patient support, etc.)
- Collaborate with Commercial IT, Commercial Analytics, other internal stakeholders, and vendors on digital infrastructure and delivery (e.g. data, platforms and processes)
- Partner with the customer-facing teams on data, analysis, reporting and execution needs to support performance (e.g. sales forecasts and performance reports, data-driven insights and recommendations, territory alignment and incentive plans)
- Act as the home office technology contact for the field organization and effectively communicate feedback and issues from the field to IT, business owners, and vendors as appropriate
- Lead BU operations for planning and execution of key milestones and deliverables e.g. KPI dashboards, performance updates, leadership presentations, etc.
- Lead projects and initiatives that relate to driving BU performance and ability to deliver on the organization’s goals including recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales processes and strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience in sales operations or analytics, preferably in the biotech industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Support and Training: Provide data-driven insights and training to enhance sales performance.
- CRM Management: Ensure accurate data entry and usage of CRM tools to track sales activities and customer interactions.
- Campaign Analysis: Collaborate on analyzing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and their impact on sales.
- Market Research: Share insights from market research to help tailor marketing strategies.
- Process Optimization: Work with operations to streamline sales processes and improve efficiency.
- Forecasting: Assist in sales forecasting to align operational planning with sales targets.
- Budgeting: Provide sales data to support budgeting and financial planning.
- Performance Reporting: Collaborate on financial performance reports to track sales against targets.
- Feedback Loop: Relay customer feedback and sales data to inform product development and improvements.
- Launch Support: Assist in planning and executing product launches based on market and sales data.
- Customer Insights: Share customer behavior and feedback data to improve customer support strategies.
- Issue Resolution: Collaborate to resolve customer issues that impact sales and customer satisfaction.
- Developing SME in data, analytics, dashboarding, and reporting approaches
- Strong experience with brand, sales, activity reporting, territory alignments and incentive compensation. Skilled in Plan of Action (POA) targeting and field systems solutions such as Veeva (Salesforce), Customer Master (MDM), and reporting tools like Tableau and PowerBI
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical data, primary and secondary ( including IMS DDD, Xponent data, Plan Track, Managed Markets, and chargeback data is highly desirable)
- Proficient in transforming unstructured business issues/requests into actionable plans that result in strategic or tactical outcomes and reports
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver solutions and manage competing priorities effectively
- Experience in data management, business analysis, and solution design/development
- Proven experience managing multiple leadership partners and delivering on competing priorities
- Strong client service and communication skills—written, oral, and presentation—tailored to various audiences from senior leadership to front-line staff and peers across functions
- Ability to simplify complex concepts through verbal communication or visual aids (e.g., PowerPoint)
- Expertise in analytics/consultative skills to enhance methodologies and standard processes
- Ability to prioritize team efforts and resources to complete tasks on time and achieve project objectives
- Proficient in facilitating, negotiating, and resolving conflicts effectively within teams
- Consistently engages and collaborates with cross-functional teams to shape brand strategy and assess risks and opportunities

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 176,000 to $ 264,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
