About Commercial
Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin’s commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
The Associate Director, Enzyme Therapies – LSDs will serve as a pivotal leader in shaping and executing market research and analytics initiatives that directly inform business strategy and decision-making. This role will drive the design, execution, and management of both in-line and life cycle management (LCM) projects, transforming complex data into actionable insights that set priorities and guide organizational solutions.
A key focus will be leading insights and analytics for the LSD franchise, with the objective of strengthening the new commercial model, elevating global brand performance, and enhancing organizational capabilities. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in both primary and secondary market research, leveraging customer insights, and market dynamics to deliver strategic recommendations that advance patient impact and business outcomes.
This role will formally report to the Global Head of BI&A within Business Operations & Strategy. In practice, the role will work in close partnership with the Director of Insights & Analytics Enzyme Therapies on a daytoday basis to ensure alignment with BU priorities and execution excellence. This structure provides both visibility at the enterprise level and direct engagement with the therapeutic area leadership, enabling the Associate Director to influence strategy while driving operational impact.
Acts as strategic partner to LSD team members, working closely with BU and Brand Team Leads, Market Access Leads, Global Medical Leads, and direct markets to frame, investigate, translate key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of brand/asset strategies and tactics (in-line and LCM), helping the team prioritize their focus and resources based on the needs of the program
Designs and delivers qualitative and quantitative market research projects (e.g., opportunity assessments, market landscape / patient journey, demand, strategic tracking, etc.) and analytics to deliver high quality, actionable business insights that support data-informed decisions; sometimes playing a consultative and integrating role for locally-led projects
Leads the Integrated Insights Team for LSDs, maintains the Integrated Insights Plan, synthesizes insights integration from cross-functional teams (e.g. CI, PAVE, advocacy, etc.) and develops, tracks and reports KPIs / metrics to catalyze action on insights and drive performance
Provides context and insights to support preparations for governance decisions, leadership reports, business reviews, earnings narratives, etc.
Leads the team’s insights and analytics procurement, contracting, and project execution, maintaining strong operational discipline and alignment with BI&A best practices and BioMarin policies.

The salary range for this position is: $159,800 to $219,670. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
