About Commercial

Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin’s commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

SALES FORCE EFFECTIVENESS GERMANY

The position is based hybrid, with regular touchpoints in the Kronberg Office, within BioMarin Commercial Organization and reporting to the General Manager Germany with a dotted line to the Country Lead Enzyme Therapies and Country Lead Hemophilia.
Responsibilities for this role include field force operations and solutions, metrics and measurement for multi-channel tactics, tracking and reporting of BU performance KPIs, cross-functional coordination of relevant stakeholders to ensure success of BU deliverables relating to planning, strategy and execution.
Job duties include:
  • Support BU Country Leads with development, tracking and reporting of KPIs, metrics, dashboards as well as catalyzing action on insights to drive performance
  • Manage Sales Force Effectiveness activities for Germany focusing on: Defining the concepts we need to pursue commercial objectives to move forward, harmonizing these concepts ensuring correct deployment and monitoring the evolution of these indicators
  • Perform Customer Management activities by managing SalesForce.com system, harmonizing operation and driving demands for improvements with global team
  • Collaborate with Commercial IT, Commercial Analytics, other internal stakeholders, and vendors on digital infrastructure and delivery (e.g. data, platforms and processes)
  • Lead BU operations for planning and execution of key milestones and deliverables e.g. KPI dashboards, performance updates, leadership presentations, etc.
  • Lead projects and initiatives that relate to driving BU performance and ability to deliver on the organization’s goals including ongoing recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales processes and strategies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize and manage BU resource prioritization and optimization across channels (e.g. sales, marketing, patient support, etc.)
  • Manage Sales Incentive Plan for the German Sales team
  • Screening of competitive landscape and change of market dynamics
  • Coordination of local BU OpEx budgets
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience in sales operations or analytics, preferably in the biotech industry
  • Experience in competitive therapeutic areas and markets
  • Experience in Performance and Account Management
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, ability to master complexity and integrate insights into strategies and actions
  • Strong sense of accountability and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment, flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, gain alignment and drive decision making
  • Self-starter who demonstrates energy and enthusiasm, bringing a positive solution-oriented approach to challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, SAP)
