Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin’s commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Commercial Coordinator, Western Europe & Canada
- Oversee general office operations and ensure a smooth-running environment.
- Manage office budgets, expenses, vendors, office supplies and equipment.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications: Answer and direct phone calls, and handle email and fax correspondence.
- Project administrative support (submission of event approvals, materials, contract, POs, invoices, vendors, among others).
- Assist with prepare and distribute project-related materials, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with internal events planning and coordination.
- Provide a wide range of administrative support to the team, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Office Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an office administration or coordination role with experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as other relevant software and systems.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Other Languages is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills: Skilled at multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Highly adaptable and resilient: Capable of handling a fast-paced, demanding environment and adjusting to changing priorities and challenges.
- Teamwork: Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Confidentiality: Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
- We are seeking a Madrid-based Commercial Coordinator that will report directly to the Country Manager and will have a dotted line reporting relationship with the Head of Western Europe & Canada.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical and soft skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exceptional organizational and time management abilities, attention to detail, a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactivity, a customer-oriented mindset, and adaptability.
- Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate strong teamwork, ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision, and fluency in Spanish and English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
