Who We Are

BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.


The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

GSC Operations is a part of the Global Supply Chain focused on Global Logistics and Clinical Supply Chain. Global Logistics manages the transport, warehousing, distribution, Cold Chain Logistics & continuous improvement across the global supply chain.Clinical Supply Chain manages demand forecasting, material distribution across clinical trial management value chain.


This internship is in the Global Supply Chain Excellence group.The role will involve working on projects in continuous improvement which may include:

·Drive PMD value realization

·Start Operations Excellence Maturity assessment for TOPS

·Own and drive “score card” for Spend Analytics of transport costs

·Document comparable standards between Signant Health systems vs SAP options for Clinical Supply Chain

Required Skills:

·Clear, concise verbal & written communication

·Curious and willing to learn, use new tools / skills

·Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

·Zoom & Microsoft teams

Desired Skills:

·Familiarity with Process mapping

·Familiarity with Microsoft Teams / related tools

·Graphing and Statistical Analysis

·Data Analytics concepts and practical experience

·Familiarity with advanced Excel tools


·Student pursing a Bachelor’s degree (3rd of 4th year) or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or any Engineering discipline

·Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the program.

·Must be available to work 40 hours a week

·Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

In the U.S., the hiring range for this position is $ 24.00 to $ 30.00 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
