SUMMARY:

The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

The Business and Corporate Development team plays a critical role in the strategic growth of BioMarin by leading corporate strategy initiatives and executing to various types of transactions (e.g. licensing, M&A, partnership efforts) to shape our pipeline

The role will be focused on building out financial models to evaluate the impact of potential transactions on BioMarin and, once financial models are created, train BioMarin employees on how to use.

Required Skills:

·Experience with financial analysis and valuation techniques

·Ability to create financial models in excel

·Familiarity with biotech deal structures and relevant terms

·Strong presentation skills; oral and written

Desired Skills:

·Past experience in healthcare

·Strategic thinker and creative problem solver

·Understanding of the full drug development process, life-cycle management and commercialization of therapeutics

Qualifications/Eligibility:

·Student pursing an MBA

·Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the program.

·Must be available to work 40 hours a week

·Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 50.00 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
