Training Manager, Commercial Learning & Development, Field Onboarding and Systems

SUMMARY

Applicants should be highly tech savvy, detailed-oriented, agile thinker, proactive, customer-focused, pleasantly persistent, and a collaborative team player. This position will support our field-based employees as they onboard to BioMarin through collaboration with the brand and field support training leads to design and execute curricula in the company’s LMS. In addition, the position will work closely with Human Resources and Information Management to coordinate and ensure the on-boarding processes are effective and efficient. Applicants will need to be comfortable with all levels of field management, including involving them in the process and communicating status and pull-through to them on a consistent basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the on-boarding and off-boarding of Commercial Field New Hires
  • Maintain and develop efficiencies for the Commercial on-boarding process
  • Work extensively with our Sales Operations, Compliance, IT and HR functions in a close and collaborative partnership
  • Manage the Commercial Learning Management System - input, maintain, and assign content, update systems when necessary
  • Analyze and build role-based audiences within LMS for assignment of role-specific eLearning plans
  • Build and maintain role-specific eLearning plans for field based colleagues in collaboration with Brand Training Leads within Commercial LMS
  • Upload and organize a myriad of training resources with varying formats within LMS
  • Maintain Commercial LMS portal by collecting and communicating relevant information from CL&D team and other stakeholders through continuous process improvement and curriculum maintenance
  • Build and analyze varying reports within LMS to ensure eLearning execution and completion
  • Responsible for the organization and usability of the LinkedIn Learning resource for Commercial
  • Keep accurate and timely records of training attendance through the LMS system; provide reports when necessary
  • Manage assigned additional projects as needed
  • Continually improve processes and communicate to customers in an easy-to-use format
  • Become SME in learning tools to enhance delivery and support Phase I brand curriculum
  • Vet and maintain vendor relationships relating to eLearning tools
  • Develop strong relationships with new employees/managers- to continually revise process
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with the SRCC/Global Onboarding Manager to ensure continuity of resources across Commercial
  • Manage distribution lists for field Commercial teams

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 18 months of LMS management experience preferred
  • Experience with corporate meeting coordination and management necessary
  • Experience with Learning Management System administration preferred
  • Understanding and Experience in supporting orphan diseases/biotech field forces a plus
  • Training experience preferred
  • Professional presence; able to work with executive levels of the organization confidently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Expertise in Powerpoint presentation creation and integration
  • Creative problem solver

  • Organizational savvy

  • Proficient knowledge of following applications a plus: LearnShare/Compliancewire, O365, Sharepoint, Windows Office, Salesforce.com, Veeva, mobile marketing library platform, Livelink, Skype, WebEx, Brainshark, LinkedIn Learning

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’ degree required
