Sr. Analyst, FP&A (TEMPORARY)

Duties

BioMarin will continue to focus on advancing therapies that are the first or best of their kind.



This role is part of the FP&A team supporting Technical Development. As an FP&A team we bring quantitative, analytic support to decision-making that enables the company to make strategic, operational, and investment decisions. We do this by having a team of naturally curious individuals with the ability to synthesize business information into financial advice.

The specific roles and responsibilities for this position include the following:



    • Hyperion super user for TOPS FP&A: understand business rules/logic, complete UAT testing, submit master data requests, and own loading of planning data into Hyperion to deliver expected results

    • Navigate Oracle, Business Intelligence reporting, and PowerBI tools to analyze transactional details

    • Identify disconnects between business process and systems/planning tools and partner with Corp to resolve

    • Reporting: Produce and distribute monthly/quarterly financial reporting for review with finance and operations partners

    • Analysis: Develop an understanding of key business levers and deliver on recurring and ad hoc analysis to support a clear view of TOPS financial performance and inform business decisions

Skills



Experience/Required skills:



    • 5-7 years' experience in Finance, Business Analytics or equivalent experience

    • Expert proficiency with Hyperion Planning, Smart View, Oracle

    • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including visualizations of data

    • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities

    • Excellent quantitative, analytical and modeling skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills: Pharma/BioTech Finance experience preferred
