SUMMARY: 
Join us for a transformative Financial Technology internship, reporting directly to the head of Treasury Technology. In this role, you'll contribute to the SAP Transformation project, focusing on enhancing Treasury's data architecture and integrating banking systems. Beyond these technical responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a project with our Treasury team which is responsible for the management of a billion-dollar investment portfolio, foreign exchange hedging, cash management and other capital market activities. Your strategic collaboration with external banking partners will also be crucial in optimizing our cash management and capital market solutions. 
JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT: 
The intern will be involved in the non-technical aspects of Phase 1b of our global SAP S4 Hana Treasury Implementation project and a functional Treasury project. Responsibilities include: 
  • Assisting in project management, ensuring timely progress and coordination of tasks between SAP integration teams and our banks. 
  • Engaging in meetings and communications with internal teams and external banking partners. 
  • Managing data initiatives and access strategy in the SAP system, focusing on treasury functions. 
  • Support the Treasury cash operations, cash management and settlement of foreign exchange derivative settlements.  
  • Assist in the review of new investment opportunities within the BioMarin investment framework.

Qualifications/Eligibility: 
  • Student in their 3rd of 4th year of Undergrad, pursing a bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or Business  
  • Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the program.   
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 21.00 to $ 25.00 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
