SUMMARY:

The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

By providing a foundation for all operations company wide, BioMarin’s General and Administrative teams support our mission of providing first and best in class therapeutics to patients who live with rare diseases. Our teams include groups such as finance, legal, human resources, corporate compliance and ethics, information technology and Treasury. JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT:

Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, this role will be responsible for critical support for Treasury Operations, Cash Management and FX functions in Ireland and the United States. This role will require someone who is hands-on, detail oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate would be someone interested in developing themselves in all aspects of corporate treasury function.  This role is based in the San Rafael office.

Required Skills:

• Strong desire to learn treasury operations and corporate banking practices
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Desire to share knowledge in a cooperative fashion, to be a team player
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic, attention to details, ability and willingness to work effectively independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to partner and influence effectively across multiple functions to gather information.

Qualifications/Eligibility:

• Student in their 3^rd or 4^th year pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economic or Business
• Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the program.
• Must be available to work 40 hours a week
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

In the U.S., the hiring range for this position is $ 21.00 to $ 25.00 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
