Manager, FP&A

Location Novato, California


Finance business partner in this fast-paced and high-exposure role, you will interact with senior leaders, their leadership teams to meet our deliverables.

The specific roles and responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Build partnerships with the senior leadership
  • Work with the business to understand and develop the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and 5-year financial plan
  • Review and understand operating results:  Actuals vs Budget and/or Forecast and what it means
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business and programs and major levers for spend
  • Perform ad hoc and deep dive business and financial analyses to inform decision making
  • Track, analyze and report on key financial and operational drivers to measure performance against strategic and operational goals
  • Develop financial models to support workforce planning, product development and other ad hoc projects
  • Monthly management reporting on actuals and expected forecast


BS in Accounting or Finance

Advanced degree, CPA or MBA highly preferred


  • 5+years of progressive experience, previous Biotech experience highly preferred
  • ProficiencywithHyperion Planning, SmartView reportingand Microsoft Office products (Excel and PowerPoint) is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective atcommunicating across all levels in the organization
  • Strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines
  • Enjoys a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills; effective on teams as well as individually
  • Results driven; adaptable, flexible and creative in developing new improvements


Computer skills including Hyperion, SmartView, Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint and Word,
