Clinical Operations Internship

Location London, United Kingdom
BioMarin is the world leader in delivering therapeutics that provide meaningful advances to patients who live with serious and life-threatening rare genetic diseases. We target diseases that lack effective therapies and affect relatively small numbers of patients, many of whom are children. These conditions are often inherited, difficult to diagnose, progressively debilitating and have few, if any, treatment options. BioMarin will continue to focus on advancing therapies that are the first or best of their kind.

BioMarin’s Research & Development group is responsible for everything from research and discovery to post-market clinical development. Research & Development involves all bench and clinical research and the associated groups that support those endeavors. Our teams work on developing first-in-class and best-in-class therapeutics that provide meaningful advances to patients who live with rare diseases. Come join our team and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.

The BioMarin internship programme will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, whilst gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. The internship programme will start on Monday 10th June 2019 to the 30th August 2019, lasting 12 weeks in the London Office.

The interview process will be between the 14th – 25th January 2019, which could include a group exercise, presentation and interviews.

The BioMarin Clinical Operations group is looking for a motivated and productive Intern to work with the operational team to ensure our rare disease products are being developed in accordance with the fundamental guidelines for clinical research. The intern will work closely with a talented team of clinical research professionals and will help with important tasks related to different aspects of the life cycle of clinical studies.

This is an opportunity to see the operations side of clinical trials and gain valuable hands-on experience of working with a cross functional team to help deliver quality data that impacts patients’ lives.

The successful applicant will leave with a keen understanding of the operational aspects of running global clinical trials and will be able to use the experience to assist in future roles within the industry
