Hemophilia Territory Manager -

Under the direction and guidance of the Launch Excellence Lead, the Territory Manager Hemophilia will be responsible for managing specific accounts and customers in France. Responsibilities and functional oversight include: commercial, promotional activities, marketing operations and relationship management.

He/she will focus on both pre-launch preparations and post-launch activities for BioMarin’s Gene Therapy for Hemophilia A.


  • Prepare Hemophilia Reference Centers to integrate Gene Therapy in their therapeutic strategies and help them to be ready for infusion (full site readiness)
  • Provides appropriate updates of key medical and technical information to customers, including physicians, pharmacists and nursing staff
  • Engage in marketing and promotional activities in accordance with marketing plan and French regulation
  • Creating and implementing an effective business plan to guide strategy, tactics in his/her territory and track progress via KPIs
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Actively participating in disease awareness efforts, gene therapy awareness through scientific society meetings
  • Supporting area objectives: market share and revenue targets on a quarterly & annual basis
  • Working with all members of the Hemophilia team (marketing, medical, market access) and facilitating appropriate collaboration with other internal stakeholders, as needed.
  • Proactively providing business insights to internal partners as to the clinical practices of assigned accounts
  • Acting in compliance within a highly regulated industry and consistent with training, policies, guidelines, and their own best judgment while adhering to all company policies assigned to the Hemophilia Territory Manager position
  • Report to the Pharmacovigilance department any potential safety information within the timelines specified in the SOPs


  • Scientific or medical diploma, title or certificate allowing the exercise of an information activity by canvassing or prospecting (articles L5122-11 and 12 of the Code of Public Health)
  • Preferred: currently working in the hemophilia market
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in biotech/rare disease involving high-cost products that are technically challenging
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries that include account-based selling within hospitals and academic institutions
  • Good understanding of Health Care Systems including financing and public health policy and rare disease plans
  • Experience in project management, organizing events

  • If required, ability to work evenings and weekends since many HCP occur during these times
  • Mobility to travel up to 70% of working time and operate a vehicle is required
  • Overnight travel is required and will range from 20%- 50% depending on the geography and business needs of the individual territory

This is a remotely located position and an in-home office setup is necessary.
