BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients. Manager FP&A TOPs  - Cork or Dublin

BioMarin’s Technical Operations (TOPs) organisation supports our global manufacturing and contracting efforts around the world. BioMarin’s global TOPs continues to solidify the company’s internal and external manufacturing presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions. TOPs Shanbally Manufacturing Site support:

  • Liaising with Leadership team and for input for Shanbally in the preparation of Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts
  • Support month end entity reporting in relation to Shanbally Manufacturing & Support departments.
  • Reporting to management on actual results and appropriate timely reporting of variances monthly.
  • Provide oversight and assistance to Shanbally organisation to assist with process improvement opportunities, reporting and validation of savings.
  • Aid in financial appraisal for Capital investment programs with the capital owners.
  • Calculate COGM & COGS impact of products produced at Shanbally for budgets and forecasts.
  • Participate in relevant Network Strategies for TOPs to support decision making on internal & external manufacturing.
  • Reviewing purchase orders and working with procurement to make any necessary corrections.
  • Contact for GL accounting team on month end processes.
  • Contact for auditors on controls & SOX processes.
  • Contact for business process transformation team on metrics & mapping processes.
  • Support Corporate FP&A in improving forecasting processes, standardizing where applicable
  • Maintaining AnaPlan / Hyperion for regional localisations (e.g. calculating salaries & benefits)
  • Supporting cost centre managers providing additional management reporting where necessary


3+ years’ experience in multinational environment

Strong excel & modelling capabilities

Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably Hyperion & Oracle / SAP

Results orientated, flexible, resourceful, & self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deliverables

Strong attention to detail, analytical skills & initiative with the ability to adhere to strict timelines

Proven ability to develop effective working relationships


Fully Qualified Accountant, 2+ years PQE experience.
